About The Position

We’re looking for a hands-on Manager, Software Engineering to lead our native mobile engineering teams. In this role, you’ll balance technical leadership with people management—guiding engineers to deliver high-quality iOS and Android experiences while fostering a strong, collaborative team culture. This role will execute the mobile strategy and technical direction defined by the Director of Mobile Engineering, partnering closely with Product, Design, and Quality Assurance to translate business goals into reliable, scalable mobile solutions. This role is accountable for delivery, quality, and team health across our mobile platforms.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including mobile development.
  • 2+ years of people management or technical leadership experience.
  • Strong expertise in iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) and/or Android (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose).
  • Solid understanding of mobile architecture patterns, APIs, and backend integration.
  • Experience shipping and maintaining consumer-facing mobile applications.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for building great teams and products.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform or shared-code architectures.
  • Familiarity with mobile analytics and performance monitoring.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience scaling mobile applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow high-performing mobile engineering teams across iOS and Android platforms.
  • Own end-to-end technical execution for mobile initiatives, from implementation through release and support.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Quality Assurance, and partner teams to deliver user-loved mobile experiences.
  • Execute against established enterprise-aligned engineering and architecture standards
  • Uphold best practices around code quality, testing, performance, security, and operational readiness.
  • Drive planning, estimation, and predictable delivery for mobile roadmaps and initiatives.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to unblock complex challenges.
  • Partner with principal and platform engineers to maintain scalable native and Kotlin Multiplatform architectures.
  • Improve development workflows, tooling, and mobile CI/CD pipelines.
  • Maintain awareness of production health and incidents.
  • Stay current on mobile technologies and industry trends.
