What you get to do: As a Security Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall execution of our security operations, including the direction of all of our security officers, off-duty law enforcement officers, special events staff and security dignitaries. This role involves recruitment, development, evaluation, training and performance management, while ensuring team members maintain relevant certifications/licenses. You will direct/conduct investigations, complete case preparation and court presentations, and represent park in court as needed. Success in this role requires that you develop and maintain positive partnerships with all levels of outside law enforcement. You will: Create or implement security standards, policies, and procedures. Identify, investigate, or resolve security breaches. Respond to medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms, following emergency response procedures. Monitor and ensure a sound, ethical environment. Plan, direct, or coordinate security activities to safeguard company assets, employees, guests, or others on company property. Develop, implement, manage, or evaluate policies and methods to protect personnel against harassment, threats, or violence. Develop, conduct, support, or assist in governmental reviews, internal corporate evaluations, or assessments of the overall effectiveness of facility and personnel security processes. Train subordinate security professionals or other organization members in security rules and procedures. Assess risks to mitigate potential consequences of incidents and develop a plan to respond to incidents. Communicate security status, updates, and actual or potential problems, using established protocols. Direct or participate in emergency management and contingency planning. Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous military, law enforcement or security experience.
  • Experience in loss prevention and investigative procedures.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certified.
  • State license(s) and applicable certification(s).
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Related Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Three or more years of supervisory/management experience within a theme park, entertainment, hospitality, or other guest services related industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal laws desired.
