Our Protective Services team at Cavasson is looking for a forward-thinking Protective Services Manager who thrives at the intersection of training, quality, and process improvement. This role is all about elevating performance, strengthening consistency, and driving a culture of continuous improvement across a fast paced, service focused environment. In this role, you will partner closely with our Enterprise Training Team to ensure department staff receive effective, consistent, and relevant training from onboarding to emergency response readiness. You will also champion department SOPs, support assessments and audits, and help advance the tools, technology, and processes that keep our Protective Services operation running at its best. If you are energized by optimizing workflows, solving problems, collaborating across teams, and helping people perform at their highest level, this role will fit you like a custom-tailored uniform (and occasionally, you may be wearing one). Additional details: Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona DPS Guard Card license (unarmed or armed as applicable). Work schedules may vary based on business needs and may include occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, or support during emergency situations. This role may include time in uniform, and armed responsibilities may be required depending on operational needs. Our Security team monitors security needs and assists associates with security and safety-related issues. If you are safety focused, an effective communicator, detail oriented and ready to serve and protect our associates and the public, we want to know more about you! As a Security Manager, you’ll organize and lead the physical security and life safety functions for the company-owned and leased facilities. You’ll also lead teams of uniformed Security Officers who patrol the areas surrounding our corporate campuses and manage special security projects. We’ll count on you to develop and lead programs to provide protection for all Nationwide associates around your assigned campus.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate studies in business administration, criminal justice, or related field preferred.
  • Typically, eight or more years in the law enforcement or security industry.
  • Knowledge of security programs and systems, life safety programs, and fire control systems.
  • Proven knowledge of private sector laws of the security industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to build business relationships.
  • Ability to administer the Corporate Security policies, practices and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development of plans and the implementation of security and life safety programs to maintain and/or improve the level of security at assigned Nationwide properties.
  • Conducts investigations into security incidents, breaches, or potential threats, and develops incident response plans and protocols.
  • Handles and maintains knowledge of the latest state-of-the-art security equipment.
  • Develops plan for and advises on the preventive maintenance programs for life/safety equipment.
  • Assesses equipment needs and recommends purchases of security equipment, including security force uniforms and equipment.
  • Assists with development and maintenance of the executive protection program.
  • Recommends and maintains home alarm systems at executive residences.
  • Manages operational procedures and training programs for all security officers, including firearms training and the issuing of firearms according to the firearm policy and with approval of the Sr AVP, Corporate Security.
  • Leads all aspects of the patrol division and location control room, overseeing the areas surrounding the assigned corporate campus.
  • Oversees the planning of security protection for company special events.
  • May monitor and analyze security-related data, reports, and trends to identify vulnerabilities, threats, or areas for improvement.
  • Partners with enterprise audit and Technology Risk management to address compliance concerns.
  • Directs associate management including performance management, salary planning and administration, training and development, workflow and organizational planning, hiring and placement, and corrective actions.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
