About The Position

With a career at The Home Depot, you can be yourself and also be part of something bigger. Position Purpose: Responsible for the security operations in facilities at specified Home Depot locations. Manage the daily operations of a team of professionals in the Corporate Security Department. Resolve operational issues, develop personnel, promote company and departmental values, while insuring individual and team goals are met or exceeded. Provide support for all aspects of the Corporate Security function, to include: Non-Product Facility Security, Executive/Event Security, Investigations, and International Security

Requirements

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Previous supervisory experience.
Previous Security or Law Enforcement experience.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
Use quantitative skills to help drive projects.
Be able to identify, distinguish and analyze multiple components of a problem, and then make appropriate conclusions based on available information.
Use tactical thinking to support strategic goals of the department, determine the problem and understand the fundamental parts of the problem.
Knowledge of the role and function of Corporate Security at the Home Depot or similar major company or prior law enforcement agency.
Knowledge of facility management as it pertains to security and access control.
Must be able to communicate both verbally and written.
Must possess skills to effectively interact with and communicate with Home Depot associates.
Must possess analytical skills.
Must have a knowledge of physical security.
Project management experience to include major events such as shareholder meetings, board of director's meetings or similar events.
Must possess supervisory skills.
