About The Position

The role involves leading and mentoring a team of outbound Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to enhance their prospecting skills and achieve individual and team targets. Responsibilities include coaching BDRs on best practices for cold calls, emails, social selling, and outbound prospecting, collaborating with sales leadership to develop strategies for targeting key accounts, and refining the BDR playbook to improve outreach efficiency. The position also requires tracking performance through KPIs, supporting team members in using lead qualification methodologies, and conducting training sessions to foster team talent. Close collaboration with Marketing is essential to ensure alignment on messaging and campaigns.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales development or business development experience in a SaaS or technology-related field.
  • At least 1+ year in a leadership or mentorship role.
  • Proven track record of exceeding SDR or BDR targets and generating qualified leads.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead a high-performing SDR team.
  • Strong prospecting, qualifying, and outbound sales skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and identify trends.
  • Comfortable with technology, especially CRM tools and sales automation platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Own and refine the BDR playbook, implementing strategies to improve outreach efficiency and lead quality.
  • Track performance through KPIs and review individual and team metrics, creating actionable plans for improvement.
  • Support team members in using lead qualification methodologies like MEDDPICC.
  • Conduct 1:1s, team training sessions, and feedback loops to develop team talent.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure alignment on messaging and lead handoff.
