About The Position

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to manage key customer relationships and drive new business growth for our Medical Device Solutions product line within the US market. This product line includes polymers for implantable applications (RESOMER®), polymer surface modification technologies (Endexo®), biosynthetic biomaterials (Vecollan® and biocellic®), and CMO services for medical device components.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a related field is required.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • >3 years of proven experience in business development or sales within the medical device or healthcare industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply comprehensive understanding of the business environment to develop effective solutions.
  • Strong understanding of medical device applications and CMO services preferred.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and data management.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue and margin growth at assigned accounts and develop new customer relationships for medical device solutions.
  • Communicate and implement the business strategy within the team, aligning it with the organization’s mission and values.
  • Ensure active communication within U.S. and global teams, maintaining CRM and IBP systems with up-to-date customer information.
  • Develop and execute a relationship management plan to engage decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations and build a personal network in the business sector.
  • Prepare offers, change orders, and project proposals in collaboration with internal technical teams.
  • Negotiate and finalize confidentiality, feasibility, master service, supply, and quality agreements.
  • Participate in conferences, tradeshows, regional business meetings, and sales meetings.
  • Gather market intelligence to enhance the visibility and reputation of Evonik’s products and services.
  • Identify unmet customer needs and present complex products and services that meet customer needs, negotiating terms as necessary.
  • Champion customer needs in cross-functional teams to foster strong external relationships.
  • Maintain accurate customer data in the CRM system to support business development and retention efforts.
