About The Position

Job Summary:# Plan, manage, coordinate and evaluate operations of the department.## Maintains 24hr accountability for staff and department performance.# Participates in organization-wide coordination of patient care and integration of departmental activities consistent with the corporate, division, and departmental mission, goals and CARES values.

Requirements

• Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license).
• Bachelor#s degree in Nursing required; Master#s preferred.
• Professional nursing certification as defined by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) within 18 months of hire.
• At least three years of progressive nursing management experience in acute care setting.
• Thorough knowledge of general nursing principles, methods, and techniques.
• Demonstrated skills in performing nursing procedures; ability to deal tactfully with patients, physicians, department heads, and families/visitors.
• Significant ability to coach, mentor, and manage staff.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS as requried by specialty area.
