About The Position
Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac procedural/Surgical Unit. This position is Temporary Full Time Day Shift! Department Overview: This 24-bed cardiac surgical/procedural IMCU provides care to pre and post cardiac surgery patients to include: bypass surgery, cardiac valve repairs/replacements, thoracic surgery/lung diagnostics, and other cardiac based procedures and treatments such as ablations, left atrial appendages, ICDs, and permanent pacemakers. The unit also provides a high level of care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and chest pain. Dedicated to high quality care, patient outcomes, safety, and teamwork is a standard of the staff Nurses handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level. Requirements
- Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- ACLS
- Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience
