Function and Scope: The Manager of Revenue Integrity is responsible for managing and advancing revenue integrity programs that ensure accurate, compliant, and complete charge capture, coding, and billing across cardiovascular service lines. This role leads revenue cycle management (RCM) assessments, coding and documentation reviews, audit and monitoring activities, and targeted education initiatives to identify revenue leakage, mitigate compliance risk, and improve operational performance. The Manager serves as a subject-matter expert and program leader, translating regulatory requirements and audit findings into practical education, process improvements, and standardized best practices. This role manages revenue integrity processes and initiatives, teams to support both internal operations and external member or client engagements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in revenue integrity, cardiovascular coding, auditing, and revenue cycle operations.
  • High level of professionalism and credibility when collaborating with physicians, executives, and external partners.
  • Experience developing and delivering content and presentations to large audiences. Ability to interpret regulatory guidance and translate it into operational standards and education.
  • Minimum of 10 years of cardiovascular or specialty coding and billing experience
  • Nationally recognized medical coding credentials such as: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, or AAPC certified as CPC.
  • Extensive knowledge of coding principles and guidelines.
  • Proven experience in managing and optimizing coding processes within a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, execution, and ongoing monitoring of revenue integrity programs to support accurate, compliant, and sustainable reimbursement.
  • Conduct comprehensive revenue cycle management (RCM) and revenue integrity assessments, identifying workflow gaps and systemic issues that contribute to revenue leakage or rework, and support implementation of recommended improvements.
  • Provide cardiovascular revenue cycle consulting and advisory support to member and non-member cardiovascular programs, industry partners, and other stakeholders, including:
  • Develop and deliver targeted education for providers, coders, and operational staff by:
  • Translating regulatory and payer guidance into clear, actionable education and operational standards
  • Creating standardized education materials, job aids, and reference tools to promote consistent practices
  • Supporting member-facing and client-facing education, training, and consulting activities, as applicable
  • Support membership deliverables of content and webcast up to 20 annual CEU requirements for members.
  • Active participation in coding membership listservs serving as a trusted advisor for revenue integrity, coding, and documentation questions.
  • Support business development activities, including contributing subject-matter expertise to proposals, presentations, and client discussions.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory, payer, and federal compliance requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of cardiovascular coding, reimbursement, and regulatory updates through ongoing professional development.
  • Present educational content and serve as a speaker for internal, external, member, and industry-facing forums.
  • Travel as needed.
