About The Position

The Manager, Revenue Cycle Transitions is responsible for leading and overseeing all Revenue Cycle-related activities for mergers, partnerships, and practice integrations across the network. This role serves as the primary Revenue Cycle subject matter expert during transition activity and ensures newly partnered practices are successfully transitioned into standardized revenue cycle workflows, systems, and performance expectations. This position partners closely with Revenue Cycle leadership, Operations Transitions, Training, IT, and clinical leadership to minimize revenue disruption, mitigate risk, and drive financial stability throughout the transition lifecycle. The RC Transition Manager plays a critical role in assessing current-state performance, executing transition plans, and ensuring post-transition revenue integrity and sustainability.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree required
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations across front-end, mid-cycle, and back-end functions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading transitions, integrations, or large-scale implementations, preferably in an M&A or high-growth environment.
  • Experience working in a multi-site, multi-specialty, and multi-state healthcare environment.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, assign and lead resources, and coordinate multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated success in change management, driving adoption of new workflows, systems, and operating models.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with a focus on revenue optimization.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to lead through change.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently, remotely, and in fast-paced environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Oncology revenue cycle experience strongly preferred, including familiarity with complex authorizations, coding, and reimbursement models.
  • Experience with Smartsheet and project tracking software preferred.
  • Experience with Workday and revenue cycle systems preferred.
  • Experience with various EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Revenue Cycle lead for all mergers, partnerships, and practice integrations.
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-transition revenue cycle assessments, including front-end, mid-cycle, and back-end functions.
  • Identify revenue risks, gaps, and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of transition timelines and deliverables.
  • Act as the primary liaison between partnered practices and centralized Revenue Cycle teams during transitions.
  • Develop and execute detailed Revenue Cycle transition plans tailored to each project.
  • Oversee conversion to standardized workflows, systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate implementation of registration, eligibility, authorization, patient financial care, coding, billing, collections, and AR processes.
  • Coordinate go-live activities and stabilization periods to minimize revenue leakage.
  • Ensure timely handoff to operational and training teams post-transition.
  • Manage project resources across Revenue Cycle workstreams, including assigning internal and external team members, balancing workload, and ensuring appropriate coverage for all Revenue Cycle transition activities.
  • Coordinate and prioritize Revenue Cycle resources to meet aggressive timelines and shifting business needs.
  • Serve as the functional project owner for Revenue Cycle transition scope, ensuring accountability across all assigned resources.
  • Monitor key revenue cycle performance indicators before, during, and after transitions.
  • Track metrics such as charge capture, AR days, denial rates, collections, and time-of-service payments.
  • Identify trends and implement corrective action plans to stabilize and optimize revenue.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and post-transition summaries with recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Operations Transitions, Revenue Cycle Training, IT, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, and Finance teams.
  • Communicate transition progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with practice leadership to support change management.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor during complex or high-risk integrations.

  • Complete management, motivation and performance of three Revenue Cycle Transition Trainers.
  • Provide guidance and support to Revenue Cycle leaders and frontline teams during transitions.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of standardized transition playbooks and SOPs.
  • Stay current on regulatory, payer, and industry best practices impacting revenue cycle integrations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to acquisitions and large-scale changes.
