About The Position

Responsible for providing strategic leadership for district analytics, research, and reporting in support of data informed decision making across academic and/or operational domains. This role sets analytic direction aligned to district priorities, ensures the delivery of high quality and actionable insights, and leads teams in building scalable systems, processes, and analytic capacity. The Manager serves as a trusted advisor to department leaders translating complex data into clear narratives that inform strategy, improve outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, Education, Social Sciences, Engineering, or related STEM fields is required.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience with statistical software and familiarity with SQL and other programming experience a plus.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in people leadership: specifically managing performance, coaching, and fostering the professional development of technical or analytical staff.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience leading complex projects: managing cross-functional workstreams, setting timelines, and overseeing the full lifecycle of analytic initiatives.
  • Knowledge of advanced analytical, research, and evaluation methods, including quantitative and qualitative approaches, trend analysis, and performance measurement, as applied to complex organizational and student-centered systems.
  • Ability to set and execute a coherent analytic strategy aligned to organizational priorities, translating broad goals into a focused portfolio of analytic, reporting, and research initiatives.
  • Ability to ensure analytical rigor, consistency, credibility, and ethical use of data across teams, workstreams, and analytic products.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, including the ability to translate complex and technical analyses into clear, executive ready narratives and actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to facilitate data informed discussions with senior leaders, guiding interpretation, surfacing implications, and supporting effective decision making.
  • Ability to manage up and serve as a trusted analytical advisor, navigating organizational dynamics and balancing competing priorities while maintaining analytic integrity.
  • Skill in building strong partnerships with academic, operational, and cross-functional stakeholders to align analytics to evolving district needs.
  • Knowledge of designing and managing integrated analytics systems, workflows, and reporting processes that support accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Ability to lead organizational, technical, and process change, fostering adoption of improved tools, standards, and practices.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies, anticipate risks, and drive continuous improvement in analytics operations.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop analysts and senior analysts, including setting expectations, providing feedback, and supporting professional growth.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Information Technology, Business, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics, Education, Social Sciences, Engineering, or related STEM fields is preferred.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in creating ad-hoc data based reports for decision making, including KPIs, scorecards, and dashboards is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and release of district wide analytic products including reports, dashboards, presentations, research studies, and decision support tools to support strategic priorities related to student outcomes and operational performance.
  • Direct the planning and execution of analytic and research initiatives aligned to district strategy, including deep dive analyses of trends, outliers, and emerging academic and operational issues.
  • Partner with district leadership to define analytical needs, shape project scope, and ensure analytics meaningfully inform decision making; facilitate regular data presentations and discussions with Cabinet and academic and operational leaders to support interpretation and action.
  • Oversee the delivery of recurring and ad hoc analytics, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clarity across district platforms and products; coordinate across departments to ensure cohesive, timely reporting cycles and a shared analytics narrative.
  • Lead the design, integration, and continuous improvement of analytics systems, workflows, and processes to ensure efficient production, validation, and dissemination of data products; guide teams through organizational, technical, and process changes to improve reliability and usability.
  • Provide direct supervision to analysts and senior analysts by managing intake and prioritization of work, setting expectations, monitoring performance and accountability, and supporting professional growth and development.
  • Foster a collaborative, high performing team culture grounded in analytical rigor, service orientation, and continuous learning.
