Job Summary The Manager, Rehabilitation will assist the Director PM&R in the overall direction, utilization, supervision, hiring, instruction, and evaluation of professional and supportive staff, students, and volunteers utilized in inpatient or outpatient PM&R services Job Specific Responsibilities Daily assignments may include but are not limited to: • Participate in all activities related to staff management which include but is not limited to: hiring, training, coaching, performance management and evaluation, employee engagement initiatives, and disciplinary actions up to and including terminations • Direct performance improvement initiatives and physician relations • Develop, implement, and supervise all patient care rehabilitation therapy programs. • Create department schedules, review patient complaints and address concerns. • Ensure laws, policies, and procedures related to rehabilitation are in compliance • All other duties related assigned responsibilities

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT) or Speech-Language Therapy (SLP) program
  • +4 years clinical experience
  • +2 years of supervisory experience, leading people and/or processes
  • Texas State license in area of expertise
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement and make decisions
  • Ability to instill confidence in patients, with physicians, and in other staff members
  • Ability to speak intelligently and in a professional manner before others, demonstrate good public relations, demonstrate assertiveness, flexibility and tact.
