About The Position

This position is responsible for the production and performance of the North Carolina regional mortgage sales team. Works closely with executive management to develop a sales strategy which integrates and compliments the Bank's overall performance objectives. Builds strong relationships with referral partners, area and regional bank leadership, and operations associates to achieve production goals. Ensures adherence to quality and service standards through strategic leadership and oversight of mortgage loan sales. This is a collaborative team environment with commitment to cross functional alignment and collaboration within multiple bank business units. Proven track record of sales management experience and results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Mortgage Banking and Sales management OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Mortgage Banking and Sales management
  • Demonstrated budgetary and fiscal management skills
  • Thorough understanding of bank/mortgage compliance
  • Experience with both agency and portfolio loan products
  • Must possess a valid driver's license. Position requires frequent driving to other offices, bank customers, etc. Bank car not provided.

Responsibilities

  • Business Strategy - Provides strategic, directional, and tactical leadership to a team of regional mortgage sales associates. Works closely with area executives to develop an effective sales strategy and assists in the development of operational budgets and goals. Serves as a liaison between business functions to support service and client experience standards.
  • Sales & Marketing - Leads the Mortgage Sales functions through the implementation of a formal sales discipline. Monitors sales tracking and reporting to determine and correct process inefficiencies. Maintains a strong awareness and understanding of areas for potential market growth. Provides guidance to staff on client acquisition, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Relationship Development - Builds strong relationships with Bank leadership, referral partners, and operations teams to enhance the sales referral process and achieve production goals. Develops both internal and external referral sources to generate new banking relationships, with an emphasis on external source development.
  • Managerial Functions - Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and department goals. Operates within a team framework to make appropriate changes to department policies, procedures, and efficiencies to meet objectives. Manages the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff. Maximizes department achievements by providing sales coaching and professional development. Responsible for team compliance with regulatory guidelines, policies, and procedures.
