The Manager, Radiology Operations will work collaboratively and effectively with the Director and Chair of Radiology to develop and implement policy and procedure along with programs and workflows to support quality, finance and growth of the department. The Manager, Radiology Operations is responsible for the daily operations of imaging support functions and clinical operations, as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 3 or more years of experience in healthcare business and/or operations
Intermediate knowledge of budgeting processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in business administration
Certified in any imaging modality

Responsibilities

Leads the radiology support team and other assigned radiology employee teams to ensure high performance, reliable service, staff engagement, and accountability
Leads with effective problem solving, including active listening, maintaining impartiality, confidentiality, and appropriately balancing the needs with available resources and constraints.
Ensures proper staffing levels, timely recruitment of a high-quality workforce, proper orientation and training of new employees, employee development, effective coordination of daily activities, and employee satisfaction within the workplace.
Ensures that all credentialing, State and JC standards are met in collaboration with modality leaders.
Provides statistical, financial and research reports as requested by faculty or radiology leaders
Provides data analysis, trending and data presentation as requested by the faculty or radiology leaders
Coordinates and tracks all research activities by maintaining an accurate database and periodically conducting audits
Collaborates with revenue representative to audit and manage billing interphases
Collaborates with director of radiology to track grants, faculty and department contracts
Oversees operating budgets, capital requests in collaboration with director of radiology and modality leaders
Provides analysis and variance reporting for radiology operating budgets
Participates as an important member of the department's management team to help address and resolve broad management/administrative issues such as planning for future programs and services, procedure coding and revenue capture, cost monitoring and control, patient scheduling, patient and staff safety, workflows, operational monitoring, regulatory compliance, public relations and the overall timeliness and quality of services provided to customers in assigned sections and across the department
Leads specific, assigned projects to ensure on-time and on-budget completion to the highest standards
Leads teams to manage both small and large-scale projects in collaboration with Director of Radiology
Develops and implements communication plans for assigned projects
Maintains a database listing of radiology projects and associated progress
Leads or participates in Performance Improvement projects
Improves efficiency and processes using LEAN or other workflow improvement methods
Other duties and/or projects as assigned
