Plans, organizes, orchestrates, directs and monitors the delivery of patient care for Radiation Oncology. Satisfies requirements for regulatory and credentialing agencies. Addresses patient and medical staff needs and concerns. Manages processes to ensure patient’s rights and confidentiality. Interfaces the delivery of services other areas of the hospital. Maintains liaison between hospital administration, medical staff, and contractual organizations. Administers and/or establishes hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Collects, generates, analyzes, and distributes statistical reports as required. Manages the Quality Monitoring and Performance Improvement activities of Radiation Oncology. Assists with development of long-range operational plans relative to services, programs, capital, and human resources. Develops annual departmental revenue, expense, and personnel budgets for the department. Clearly defines authority and responsibility for all Radiation Oncology employees. Encourages the professional growth of direct reports. Evaluates and counsels employees relative to performance, conduct, attendance, and adherence to departmental and hospital rules and regulations. Performs onboarding and training oversight of new employees in Radiation Oncology. Performs any other duties as requested by Director of Oncology services.
