About The Position

The Manager – Spend Optimization Services (SOS) Project Management Office role is to manage the team of project managers that manage customer engagements and internal department projects. The role will develop and enhance SHI’s best practice procedures, tools and people to ensure the services delivered to SHI’s customers meet and exceed the required quality standards. The Manager - SOS Project Management Office will always represent both the SOS department and SHI in an impeccable manner, providing expert insight and industry leading knowledge. The Manager - SOS Project Management Office will partner with SOS leadership and work across the SOS team to ensure there are well defined processes, impactful reporting, and highly skilled team members in order to deliver quality results to SHI customers.

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelors Degree or relevant work experience required
  • A minimum of 5 years of IT project management experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience managing a cross-organizational project management function.
  • Ability to travel 20%
  • The expertise in leveraging cloud-based platforms and services to build, deploy, and manage applications and data on the internet. - Expert
  • The ability to maintain, manage, and optimize a variety of data communication networks and systems to ensure seamless connectivity and performance. - Expert
  • Proficiency in working with and understanding security solutions from leading vendors such as Okta, Crowdstrike, Palo Alto, Proofpoint, CyberArk, SailPoint, Fastly, FireEye, and Fortinet. - Expert
  • The ability to define, design, build, and maintain robust systems and solutions by leveraging systems and infrastructure effectively. - Expert
  • Ability to oversee and direct projects to completion, ensuring goals are met, resources are utilized efficiently, and stakeholders are satisfied. - Expert
  • Ability to examine, clean, transform, and model data to discover useful information, draw conclusions, and support decision-making. - Expert

Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for the development and financial success of the department and functions under management.
  • Drive positive change across all responsibilities and influence change broader than direct responsibility.
  • Engage with other SHI departments to collaborate on growth, delivery, and quality strategies.
  • Support and encourage the growth, training and personal development of team members.
  • Achieve all financial targets.
  • Control and manage operational costs.
  • Oversee the customer engagement lifecycle and partner with SOS Customer Success to ensure customer value realization.
  • Coordinating virtual teams and sponsorship of change implementation projects.
  • Manage SOS Project Management function and team across multiple countries and times zones .
  • Define, document and periodically refresh Project Delivery and Project Management processes, procedures and standards .
  • Design and delivery meaningful project and financial management reporting and KPIs.
  • Enhance and maintain SOS project management tools.
  • When needed, manage complex customer engagements or internal projects
  • Ensure SOS engagements are conducted professionally, ethically, and in a manner consistent with SHI standards.
  • Act as an escalation point for internal and external contacts.
  • Support business development in new and existing accounts.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends.
  • Represent SOS and SHI at industry event , SHI summits and seminars.
