What you'll do: Developing the electrical infrastructure strategy from establishing EOL cadences by partnering with engineering firms and OEMs, researching and piloting equipment innovations, focusing on technician and vendor safety, and partnering with internal business stakeholders and finance teams to establish budget requests and business cases. Assist in managing the department budget by analyzing costs (for example, competitive bidding, industry standards) to validate spending related to materials and labor; developing reports (for example, expense accruals, outstanding invoices, score-cards); approving expenditures; managing warranty reimbursement; Responsible for developing the necessary tracking and document repository and partnering with internal teams to meet compliance obligations. Manages vendors by establishing contracts with set service-level agreements; creating and maintaining data files on repairs and modifications; communicating Corporate and industry standards to vendors; ensuring compliance with standards; evaluating and reporting vendor performance; notifying vendors of code violations or Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) issues; and releasing vendors who do not meet standards. Responds to code violations by coordinating with legal counsel; providing written responses to authorities; and meeting with regulatory authorities (for example, building code inspector, fire marshal). Facilitates execution of repair projects by providing site and project specifications; sourcing and bidding projects; pre-qualifying vendors; approving scope of work, predetermined service levels, and engineering plan reviews; ensuring local and state permits are acquired; managing relationships with internal and external customers to coordinate repairs; and assessing feasibility of engineers' recommendations. Minimizes company risk exposure by collaborating with internal and external counsel; and providing historical data, construction specifications, and subject matter expert opinions. Oversees and facilitates warranty issues by establishing warranty procedures and assigning issues to the appropriate vendor; identifying, tracking, and addressing manufacturer component defects or compatibility issues; and ensuring corrections are made with minimal disruptions to stores and clubs. Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.
