As a Manager, Program & Project Management, you will establish the NOC/SOC PMO: determine appropriate project management practices, tools and documentation in order to successfully support the Network Operations and Security Operations Centers. You will oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of a portfolio of Operation Center projects. This includes the ability to identify best practices, common processes, tools and documentation to realize efficiencies and scalability; management of a combination of both technical and operations projects: working with Engineers, Network Monitoring Specialists, Operations leaders, subject matter experts and other team members. You will make a significant and immediate impact leading complex, multi-disciplinary operational projects from start to finish, including transition planning, system conversions and implementations, operational improvements working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify and mitigate risks, and communicate clearly with cross functional partners. Additionally, this role includes the coordination and management of organization-wide communications, executive reporting, and monthly operations metrics reporting. You will develop and manage the project budget, schedule, and operating procedures, mentor staff on business acumen, professional growth, business growth, and corporate strategies, and gather and report consolidated project status and financial information. This position will also include managing other project managers and operations support engineers. Impact: Lead the planning and implementation of projects and be accountable for execution within the defined project constraints Facilitate the definition of project goals, tasks, and resource requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects. Coordinate internal resources and Telco Operators/third parties/vendors for the execution of projects; involve all relevant stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget Develop detailed project plans/methods to monitor and track progress Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. Perform risk management to minimize project risks Present oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes while successfully managing the relationship with the clients and all other stakeholders Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation Create and maintain process and procedure documentation Monitor and report on budgeted project expenditure Provide weekly reports on activities and project status Efficiently manages assigned projects to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction Continuously improves project management practices based on lessons learned in the design and implementation processes Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase Collaborate with others in open and productive dialogues across cross functional teams’ initiatives Recommend changes or policies to increase department effectiveness and customer satisfaction Recognize and act on new opportunities while maintaining focus on the company goals, customer accounts and program/project objectives Provide direction and guidance to operations support engineers that are supporting the Network Operations Centers Ensure resource availability and allocation to meet priorities and demands of the business Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of program and project managers and operations support engineers May perform other duties as assigned.
