About The Position

The main purpose of the Preconstruction Project Manager is to prepare onshore wind, solar and energy storage projects for construction. The Preconstruction Project Manager shall ensure the required engineering is complete for bidding and construction, construction estimates have been developed to support project approval, required civil based permits (including utility crossing agreements) are in place, Owner Supplied Equipment is allocated to the project, the interconnection process is scheduled, O&M’s needs are addressed in the BoP contract, the scopes of work are aligned in preparation for bidding, lessons learned are incorporated into the BoP scopes of work, the project has been derisked, and once the contractor mobilizes they can proceed unencumbered to project completion.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Renewable Energy construction, engineering, and project management.
  • Preferably, an engineering degree and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Engineering to ensure required geotechnical report, wind civil engineering, HV, PV, and BESS engineering is completed in a timely manner.
  • Manage the process, internal timelines, and third-party engineers to produce necessary work.
  • Participate in the site optimization process and provide timelines for site layout.
  • Prepare a permitting plan for civil work-related permits with Engineering and Development Teams.
  • Prepare the interconnection plan with Engineering, Transmission, Global Data Management, and Compliance.
  • Coordinate with O&M to ensure proper O&M facility specifications and initial spares list are established.
  • Assemble various scopes of work from the required Engineering team and ensure no scope gaps.
  • Coordinate with Procurement to ensure necessary engineering, scopes of work, and documentation are available for bidding or contract negotiations.
