About The Position

DEFINITION: Lead and manage the design and delivery of innovative professional development for teachers and school-based administrators that have a direct impact on the recruitment and retention of highly effective instructional staff.  In collaboration with the Division of Schools develop professional learning and refine school leadership succession planning.  Assist the Executive Director with grant fund management duties.  Support the system-wide goals and priorities in the Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) strategic plan. Performs other duties as assigned. This is a one-year grant funded position. As such, employees will be required to sign an acknowledgement form with the understanding that if the grant is not funded beyond the current year, you will be reassigned to a position based upon the stipulations within the appropriate Master Agreement that is in effect at the time of the reassignment. Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) is the 22nd largest school district in the nation and the 3rd largest in Maryland with over 21,000 employees supporting over 111,000 students.  BCPS has 26 Maryland Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence and 23 National Blue Ribbon schools, 32 magnet schools and 116 magnet programs.
