About The Position

The Manager, Product Delivery is responsible for overseeing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process across all development teams. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that teams are building products which address intricate business needs for both internal and external users. By systematically gathering insights and tracking performance metrics, the Product Delivery Manager supports accurate capacity planning, reliable Level of Effort (LOE) assessments, and the on-time delivery of high-quality products. Utilizing a comprehensive understanding of the SDLC, the successful candidate will apply critical thinking skills to achieve results and identify opportunities to optimize existing processes. The Product Delivery Manager collaborates closely with management to monitor and report delivery metrics, while consistently demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective team coordination and information sharing.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software management experience
• Demonstrated organizational, project leadership, decision-making, human relations, and communications skills
• Strong experience in product/application development
• Strong knowledge of SDLC Methodology – Agile / Scrum / Iterative Development

Responsibilities

• Refine, document, and coach SDLC process for each team
• Help refine expectations and requirements for teams/team members
• Help track metrics for team performance (ex. points committed, points completed, velocity)
• Track, communicate, and manage all cross team dependencies
• Report performance metrics and dependencies to Product Team leaders
• Provide insights, recommendations and suggestions for improved performance and solutions to challenges for teams and individuals to leadership
• Work with leaders on capacity planning for both project work, product development, and ongoing system maintenance efforts
• Help assess LOE based on knowledge of team performance and velocity for all product development
• Report on overall product/project/team/individual health - identify risks and concerns with performance, products and teams
• Track and report on team KPIs
• Oversee adherence to legal and security compliance, and ensure teams follow enterprise release process and procedures
• Work with your leader(s) to build ongoing strategies for timely delivery, quality and accountability of products
• Assume a leadership role in ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery of products through the entire application life cycle in a multi-product environment
• Promote knowledge sharing across product-development teams
• Maintain an excellent understanding of the business long term goals and strategy and ensures that designs are aligned with these
• Serve as mentor and coach to technical delivery teams
