About The Position

The Manager, Procurement typically accomplishes results through experienced exempt employees. This position functions as advisor on all projects and tasks assigned to the organizational group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience.
  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct and control the activities of the assigned organization.
  • Professional certification(s) in Production and Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Project Management and similar subject matter areas are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides directions to subordinate direct reports based on general policies and management guidance
  • Interprets and executes policies that typically affect subordinate organizational groups
  • Recommends modifications to operating policies
  • Provides assistance to direct reports in meeting established schedules or to resolve complex administrative or operational problems
  • Supervises supply chain and materiel management functional activities ensuring compliance with the Company’s policy, customer requirements and regulations and public laws in expenditure of the Company and government funds
  • Selects types of contractual arrangements
  • Ensures that accurate and timely data is prepared, reviewed and submitted according to internal and external requirements
  • Responsible for product cost, schedule, and quality
  • Reviews and approves expenditures up to a delegated limit in accordance with policy and public law
