About The Position

The PULSE Product Governance Team is responsible for governing the end-to-end product lifecycle, ensuring strong risk management, operational excellence, and transparent decision-making across the product development activities. The team evaluates and refines lifecycle controls, enhances process quality, and enables consistent governance for program development on Debit products across the Global Payments Network. As a Manager, Process Risk Management at Capital One, you will be responsible for working with business partners to ensure adherence with enterprise risks and controls that support the Product Lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
  • At least 4 years of Process or Risk Management experience
  • At least 3 years of Project Management experience
  • At least 2 years of Continual Improvement experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in People management
  • At least 2 years of Jira experience

Nice To Haves

  • Masters / MBA degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Process management
  • 4+ years of experience in Project management
  • 2+ years of experience in People management
  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem solving and influencing skills
  • Work experience achieving results with complex projects

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team that serves as an interdepartmental liaison, interfacing with lines of Business, Tech and Risk to provide oversight of and adherence to enterprise standards and controls across the Product Lifecycle
  • Oversee management of controls and risk standards through execution, testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement
  • Gather data and reporting; perform initial analysis or potentially evaluate data provided by team analysts
  • Design and implement internal governance processes
  • Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
  • Coach and develop a team of associates through their leadership style
