We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping our pricing and commercial strategies. This individual will be a key driver of revenue growth and profitability by transforming complex data into actionable insights and recommendations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, with a proven track record of applying advanced analytical techniques to solve real-world business problems, preferably within the healthcare or distribution industries. Success in this role requires not only deep analytical expertise but also the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and effectively influence decision-making across the organization.   • Pricing Analytics: Design, develop, and implement advanced pricing models and algorithms to optimize pricing for our diverse portfolio of products. Conduct detailed analysis of customer price sensitivity, elasticity, competitor pricing strategies, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for price optimization.
  • Commercial Effectiveness Analysis: Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and market trends to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of our commercial strategies. Identify key drivers of sales performance and provide data-driven recommendations to improve sales force effectiveness, customer segmentation, and marketing initiatives.
  • Actionable Insights and Recommendations: Translate complex analytical findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for senior leadership and commercial teams. Develop and present compelling narratives that drive strategic decision-making and lead to measurable improvements in revenue and profitability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with stakeholders across various departments, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Product Management, to understand their challenges and objectives. Ensure that data science projects are aligned with business goals and the insights are effectively integrated into their processes.
  • Influence and Adoption: Act as a data evangelist, championing the use of data-driven decision-making throughout the commercial organization. Skillfully influence stakeholders at all levels to adopt new strategies and analytical recommendations.
  • Predictive Modeling: Build and deploy predictive models to forecast demand, identify customer churn risk, and uncover upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Experimentation: Design and execute A/B and multivariate tests to evaluate the impact of pricing changes and other commercial initiatives.
  • Data and Tools: Work with large and complex datasets from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity. Utilize a range of data science tools and technologies, including Python or R, SQL, and data visualization platforms, to perform analysis and build models.
  • Expert proficiency in SQL and Python or R for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
  • Strong experience with machine learning techniques and predictive modeling.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Proven ability to analyze large, complex datasets and extract meaningful insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business challenges and translate them into data science problems with a strong focus on driving business outcomes and delivering a positive return on investment.
  • Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders across different functions and levels of the organization.
  • Proven experience in influencing others to adopt recommendations and drive change, even without direct authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Typically a Master's degree or global equivalent preferred.
