Manager, PMO Operations & Analytics

SVP WorldwideNashville, TN
1dHybrid

About The Position

The Manager, PMO Operations & Analytics is the tactical engine of the Product Development organization. You are responsible for the integrity of our Project Data (Schedule, Budget) and our Product Data (Finished Good SKUs, Master Data). You will lead a diverse team to ensure our systems are accurate, and our portfolio reports are truthful. Crucially, you will act as the guardian of our resource capacity—maximizing the utilization of our existing global workforce—and champion the modernization of our reporting stack.

Requirements

  • Experience: 7+ years in Operations, PMO, or Data Analytics.
  • Technical Stack:
  • Analytics: Strong proficiency in Excel (Power Query, complex modeling) is required. Experience with PowerBI is highly preferred, specifically regarding the transition from static reports to dynamic dashboards.
  • Scheduling: Proficiency in MS Project (Project Online/Server) with the ability to interpret schedule logic and guide PMs on best practices.
  • Resource Strategy: Demonstrated experience managing resource capacity in a constrained environment (Zero-sum resource planning).

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Resource Optimization
  • Capacity Optimization: Maximize the value of our existing talent pool by identifying opportunities to balance global workloads. You will smooth "peaks and valleys" in demand by proactively recommending schedule shifts or global resource reallocation.
  • Scenario Planning: When demand exceeds capacity, provide leadership with data-driven "Trade-Off Scenarios" (e.g., "To start Project A on time, we must pause Project B or reduce its scope").
  • Utilization Analysis: Monitor resource utilization rates across the hubs (Sweden, TN, Asia). Identify under-utilized pockets of talent and bottlenecks to ensure we remain efficient within our SG&A budget.
  • Master Data & Top-Level SKU Strategy
  • Portfolio Rationalization: Analyze our Top-Level SKU (Finished Goods) portfolio. Identify "Long Tail" configurations or low-volume regional variants that create disproportionate complexity for the business.
  • SKU Proliferation Control: Partner with Product Management to analyze the impact of new SKU requests. Provide data on the "Cost of Complexity" before new top-level items are approved.
  • Process Efficiency: Analyze the cycle time of item setup processes. Optimize the workflow to remove administrative drag, ensuring our data practices support speed-to-market.
  • Tools, Intelligence & AI
  • Dashboard Modernization: Lead the migration of our Executive Portfolio reporting from Excel to PowerBI. Transform manual spreadsheets into automated, interactive dashboards that provide real-time insights to leadership.
  • Microsoft Stack Architecture: Serve as the owner of our core PMO stack (MS Project, Excel, PowerBI). Ensure these tools are integrated to provide a seamless view of the portfolio.
  • Innovation: Actively explore and pilot AI-driven productivity tools (e.g., MS Copilot, Claude) to automate routine reporting and improve predictive accuracy.
  • Financial Governance
  • Budget Integrity: Track R&D Budget vs. Actuals (CAPEX/OPEX). Partner with Finance to ensure labor capitalization is accurate and that the portfolio remains within approved fiscal limits.
