About The Position

The Physical Security Operations Manager leads and manages the day-to-day Physical Security operations across the organization. The Physical Security Team is composed of Security Officers across Critical Access Hospitals with in the Health System. This role trains and mentors Security Officers, performs incident investigations, develops and maintains procedures that support standardized system-centered work processes that can be performed by all Security Officers, reviews reports, and takes appropriate action to make improvements to security operations. Duties also include interviewing, recommending, and selecting new Security Officer caregivers, preparing and giving performance appraisals, assisting in employee concerns that include scheduling, management of appropriate workloads, managing/tracking equipment, ensuring proper training of Security Officers on equipment/technology as well as conflict de-escalation methods, performs audits of Caregiver completed work, coaches Security caregivers, takes corrective action/progressive disciplinary action in a timely manner, and is actively engaged with Caregivers and daily physical security operations. This role interacts regularly with patients, caregivers, contractors, and other stakeholders. Regular collaboration with Adena Leaders within the Police, Facilities, Safety, Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, and HR departments on physical security matters is an expectation. This role will assist the CISO in regular budgeting, risk assessment, and compliance related tasks and projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience (minimum of 7 years work experience in Physical Security)
  • Major/Area of Concentration: Criminal Justice or Business
