About The Position

As People Operations Manager you’ll be tasked with building out Alaffia’s HR function as we scale from a Series A company to a growth stage company. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that blends strategy and execution — ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and collaborating with others for meaningful work that will impact every employee. You’ll build out Alaffia Health’s core People Ops infrastructure: compensation and benefits, HR systems, reporting, and compliance, partnering cross-functionally across all departments to drive automation and bring clarity to employee communications, headcount planning, people metrics (from eNPS to time to hire), and decision-making. This role is perfect for someone with a strong technical skillset, an eye for detail, with a strong bias towards action, and who’s excited to turn operational excellence into a competitive advantage as we scale. Requirements

  • 6-10+ years in People/HR, with 2+ in high-growth B2B SaaS and/or Services companies (Series A through Series C+)
  • Deep experience in building and scaling People functions covering recruiting, performance, compensation, engagement, learning & development, and total rewards.
  • Strong experience designing people strategies that support growth: org design, leadership development, succession planning, and workforce planning.
  • Strong working knowledge of HRIS and people tools (Rippling is a plus) including analytics, workflows, configuration, permissioning, and integrations.
  • Strong communication and influence; able to partner with leaders across all levels (entry through c-level).
  • The ability to thrive in ambiguity and a passion for building programs, processes, and systems from the ground up.
  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities without dropping the ball.
  • Strong technical skills: HRIS, Google and Microsoft Suite (Sheets/Excel and Slides/PowerPoint)
  • A thoughtful and people-first mentality: high emotional intelligence, empathy, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute strategies to attract, retain, and grow top talent in line with Alaffia’s mission and values
  • Own our culture at scale, making sure our values are lived as the team grows
  • Partner with departmental leaders, ELT, and Finance on org design, team structures, and workforce planning to support sustainable growth
  • Lead and drive automation for our employee lifecycle programs: onboarding, performance management, feedback, engagement, and leadership development
  • Set up scalable systems and processes for HR operations, payroll, benefits, compliance, and analytics
  • Coach managers to help them build strong, effective teams
  • Manage vendors and programs for benefits, compensation, and total rewards.
  • Handle complex employee relations and compliance matters
