Department OverviewManager, People Experience (HR Technology) leads the design, pilots, deployment, and ongoing execution and maximization of restaurant employee-facing technologies and initiatives aligned to attracting, hiring, onboarding and orientation programs aimed at continuously improving the experience of crew and managers in U.S. McDonald’s-brand restaurants.

Requirements

  • Strategic leader with deep understanding of employee experience strategies, processes, able to identify needs and craft solutions to address them at scale.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel with thoughtful prioritization, attention to detail, working collaboratively with teams and as an individual contributor to achieve program objectives.
  • Adapts to changes in priorities with ease, comfortable working “in the gray” while defining the way forward.
  • Strong presentation, influencing, and facilitation skills to educate and inform key stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating cross functionally with a variety of stakeholders, supported by strong interpersonal skills and an aptitude for building rapport.
  • Ability to shift project direction and priorities quickly to drive maximum program impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment.
  • Keen understanding of labor landscape and demographic shifts.
  • Opportunity to manage a part-time and/or full-time resource to support various program workstreams.
  • Experience working with third party vendors preferred.
  • Enterprise-level project management experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Manages timelines, resourcing, vendors (such as McHire powered by Paradox), and stakeholder engagement plans to pilot, deploy, and maximize multiple workstreams supporting the People initiatives.
  • Collaborates closely with the broader U.S. People team to develop iterative short-term plans, product roadmaps and manage project transitions.
  • Monitors program KPIs and success metrics and gleans insights for the overall program strategy and ongoing execution.
  • Partners closely with vendors and global teams to align employee experience strategies and advise on scalability of key technologies and/or initiatives.
  • Integrates program elements into existing structures, within the People function as well as adjacent teams (e.g., U.S. Operations).
  • Builds feedback collection systems to understand end-user experiences, highlights pain points and communicates with initiative stakeholders to confirm or evolve practices and builds workplans to implement changes.
  • Collaborates with owner/operators, internal, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand needs and ensure communication, training and other support is provided to drive initiative adoption, effective use, and positive user sentiment.
