About The Position

The Payroll Manager is responsible for the overall payroll function of the organization, and prepares and maintains appropriate records to support all payroll transactions including salary changes, deduction changes, address/location changes, and bonuses.

  • 6-8 years of progressively responsible experience in payroll processing
  • Four years’ experience in Payroll function
  • Demonstrated experience with UKG, Excel and Google Suite required
  • Works well in a team
  • Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to compensation base and incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong focus on customer service and understanding of a shared service support environment.
  • G-Suite and Microsoft Office experience necessary
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with a high attention to detail
  • Demonstrate creativity with issue resolution and “out-of-the-box” thinking
  • Ability to be influential, self-motivated, self-managed, and highly organized

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and manages all functions of the Payroll department.
  • Performs the payroll management functions for the entirety of the organization.
  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness for payroll processing in accordance with the applicable schedules as established throughout the organization.
  • Manages tax identification numbers within the applicable jurisdictions within the company’s HRIS.
  • Develops strong internal partnership with Accounting department, sets regular meetings and reviews department and allocation needs.
  • Manages the administration of direct compensation (executive, exempt and nonexempt cash compensation programs) for the company, including the processing, documentation, and reporting of payroll-related actions related to all employees.
  • Develops techniques for compiling, preparing, and presenting pay and compensation data.
  • Manage payroll items such as garnishments, paid time off, insurance and 401(k), and benefit deductions.
  • Timely and accurate calculation, support, reconciliation, analysis, appropriate corrective issue action/resolution and/or delivery of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns for assigned Federal, State and Local payroll tax returns.
  • Contact various department supervisors for any missed time.
  • Compile internal management reports.
  • Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.
  • Keeps apprised of federal, state, and local pay laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
