Manager, Origination

Scout Clean EnergyBoulder, CO
3h$110,000 - $125,000Hybrid

About The Position

We are looking for a Manager to join our Origination team. Our team connects the right offtakers with Scout’s wind, solar, and storage projects - and as a Manager, you’ll play a central role in shaping how our projects come to market. We build and maintain deep relationships across utilities, commercial and industrial buyers, retailers, advisors, and other energy market participants across the U.S. We bring our projects forward through both bilateral outreach and competitive RFP processes, and you will lead these efforts for your portfolio. As a Manager, you will be a core commercial leader on the Origination team. You will own key client relationships, set the strategy for RFP and bilateral pursuit efforts, and drive the development of best‑in-class proposals. You will also lead our market intelligence workstreams for select regions, ensuring Scout stays ahead of procurement cycles, policy changes, and evolving buyer needs. Your day‑to-day will blend proactive market engagement with responsive deal execution across a dynamic mix of projects and counterparties. You will report to the Senior Director of Origination and collaborate closely with teammates across Development, Finance, Legal, Structuring, and Executive Leadership as we continue to expand Scout’s renewable energy pipeline. You will also serve as a mentor and informal leader to junior team members, elevating the team’s skills, processes, and commercial readiness. You are a deal‑oriented, analytically minded commercial professional who thrives on building relationships, solving ambiguous problems, and taking ownership of complex workstreams. You have strong instincts around commercial risk, understand buyer motivations, and bring creativity to structuring solutions that meet both Scout’s and our clients’ needs.
