About The Position

The Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme is a framework to facilitate Authorized Institutions (“AIs”) to bilaterally obtain reference information during their recruitment process for certain positions, such that misconduct information in an individual’s previous employments can be provided to AIs to inform their employment decisions. For information related to MRC Scheme, “Frequently Asked Questions for In Scope Individuals” is published by HKAB/Industry Guidelines (https://www.hkab.org.hk/en/home) or further information will be available upon request, if it is applicable to the position(s) applied. Job Responsibilities: General Operation • Processing wire transfers via SWIFT / FedDirect; • Originating, fixing, and amending messages of remittance for customers; • Process Check Clearing (Check Deposit and In Clearing) via Fed Check 21 System; • Responsible for payment Investigations and daily follow-ups; • Responsible for payment system database daily updates; • Preparing monthly and periodic reports; • Serving as a back-up staff to the customer services including account maintenance when the primary staff is absent; • Serve as a back-up the Treasury Settlement Officer in his / her absence or when needed. • Support frontline and adhere to anti-money laundering / counter terrorist financing requirement and sanction risks controls in accordance with regulatory standards and CNCBI policies. Loan Operation • Process daily loan operational activities when applicable in e-IBS System, and GPS & SWIFT systems; based on the approved Loan Application and Funds Disbursement Notice / Memo received from the WBD and Risk Management Dept. Such activities can include: o Loan booking (participation loan, term loan, commercial mortgage loan, construction loan, residential mortgage loan, money market loan, etc.), o loan payment, o interest rate set-up, o loan principal repayment, o Interest repayment o loan rollover, o loan repricing, o processing various loan origination fees, o processing certain direct loan origination costs, o amortization of loan related fees and costs; • Check and update daily transaction registers and generated reports daily to monitor loan and interest payment due dates, and to ensure all payments are settled timely and accurately • Periodically follow-up on loan transaction irregularities with customers, counter-parties and/or related departments • Formulate monthly and periodic statistical reports in the Loan Operation area.
