About The Position

As a Manager, Operations Planning and Execution, this position identifies, leads, and manages a team of Analysts and initiatives in the distribution organization through a variety of tasks and projects focused on achieving our service and financial goals. This role will be responsible for budgetary targets, staffing levels, workload balancing, throughput targets, and other key KPIs. Your direct customers are the distribution center leadership teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in projects related to process design, data reporting analysis and development, productivity improvement, cost reduction, and project implementation
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working in a distribution environment
  • Able to manage multiple tasks at once, recognizing interdependencies & prioritizing appropriately
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with the ability to draw insights from complex data sets.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent PC skills - Microsoft office suite, SQL, PowerBI, Various WMS and WCS systems
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact across a broad range of organizational levels
  • Effective presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team that analyzes data to determine staffing and DC schedules are meeting throughput, budget, and productivity goals
  • Utilize data from your team and internal/external sources to recommend decisions on items pertaining but not limited to staffing levels, volume plans, and DC Ops budgets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic plans and initiatives that align with the company's objectives
  • Enforce consistency in processes across all DCs by developing operations leaders to use data to effectively run operations throughout the day. Provide guidance to leaders and be versed at team education, training, and facilitation of distribution principles
  • Oversee the progress and effectiveness of strategic initiatives, providing regular updates and recommendations for adjustments as needed
  • Development of business cases and financial models to evaluate the feasibility and potential impact of proposed strategies
  • Prepare and present reports and presentations to senior leadership, providing clear and concise insights and recommendations
  • Recommend optimal staffing plans based on forecast and budget. Follow up with operations leaders to understand successes and opportunities for improvement and sustainability.
  • Provide post execution analysis of performance to plan
