Manager, Operations Analytics, Marketing Automation, and AI Enablement

WalmartBentonville, AR

About The Position

At Sam’s Club, marketing and creative teams manage hundreds of campaign assets across channels — yet much of the work remains manual, repetitive, and slow. Creative assets are rebuilt, reformatted, and redistributed by hand because the tools and integrations to automate this work don’t yet exist. As Manager, Marketing Automation and AI Enablement, you are a hands-on builder. You personally design, build, and deploy automation solutions that streamline creative workflows, integrate Martech platforms, and eliminate manual effort across marketing. You will partner closely with Creative, Marketing, and Engineering teams—but you won’t wait for others to deliver. You prototype, configure, script, and ship solutions yourself, moving campaigns to market faster without adding headcount. Success in this role means automation is no longer aspirational—it’s live, adopted, and measurably accelerating speed to market.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building and shipping automation, not just managing it
  • Hands-on work with Martech platforms, DAMs (e.g., AEM), and creative tooling
  • Ability to build integrations using APIs, scripting, or automation frameworks
  • Strong rapid-prototyping mindset with the ability to productionize solutions
  • Experience translating messy, real-world processes into automated systems
  • Comfort operating as a senior individual contributor with end-to-end ownership

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data, analytics, and digital marketing systems is a plus—but the defining requirement is a track record of personally delivering automation that makes teams materially faster
  • Data science, data analysis, statistics, or related field
  • Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • Related industry experience (for example, retail, merchandising, healthcare, eCommerce)
  • Successful completion of assessments in data analysis and Business Intelligence tools and scripting languages (for example, SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, R, Power BI, or Tableau)

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy creative automation
  • Build tools that automate the creation, transformation, and versioning of creative assets
  • Replace manual Photoshop and file-based workflows with templates, rules-based logic, APIs, and AI-enabled automation
  • Rapidly prototype, test in real campaigns, and iterate
  • Hands-on Martech development
  • Configure and extend platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), DAMs, and related Martech tools
  • Build integrations and workflows that move assets automatically between systems
  • Write scripts, rules, and low-code/no-code automations to eliminate repetitive work
  • Automate asset storage and delivery
  • Implement automated ingestion, tagging, versioning, and governance in AEM
  • Build system-driven pipelines that route approved assets to the right marketing channels
  • Replace SharePoint handoffs and manual distribution with automated workflows
  • Engineer faster go-to-market workflows
  • Map current creative processes and rebuild them for speed and scale
  • Identify the highest-impact automation opportunities and deliver working solutions
  • Measure and demonstrate reductions in cycle time, rework, and manual effort
  • Partner—but own the build
  • Collaborate with Engineering on architecture, security, and scalability
  • Independently deliver proofs of concept and production-ready solutions
  • Balance enterprise standards with rapid execution
  • Lead by doing
  • Set technical direction through working examples, not documentation alone
  • Share reusable patterns, tools, and components
  • Own prioritization and roadmap while remaining deeply hands-on
