About the role HealthFitness, is looking for a part-time, Manager on Duty, for our client site in Batavia, OH. In this position, you'll help manage the fitness center and you will serve as the acting manager. You will be responsible for the operations of the facility in its entirety. Schedule: Saturday and Sundays 10am-4pm

Requirements

  • At least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of in-person customer service experience.
  • Adult CPR/AED/First Aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required within 90 days of hire.
  • Strong interpersonal and accountability skills.
  • Basic computer and point of sale systems knowledge.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years customer service experience with at least 1-year supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as manager on duty and acting manager, and will be responsible for the operations of the facility in its entirety including shift accountability.
  • Helps with all member service desk administration and processes including phones, membership enrollments, and greeting, checking in, and assisting customers.
  • Provides program information services and membership information.
  • Provides oversite of and back-up coverage for all positions, including lifeguards.
  • Hourly facility walk-thru rounds to assess safety and cleanliness.
  • Efficiently responds to client and participant requests, comments, or concerns and brings issues to a timely and appropriate resolution.
  • In an emergency, will lead/manage incidents and complete incident reports as needed.
  • Opening and closing duties depending on shift hours.
  • Participates in internal programs, special events, and membership drives.
  • Collects membership fees and performs related recordkeeping.
  • Other duties as needed/assigned.
