About The Position

The Vendor Manager is responsible for supporting the lifecycle of third‑party vendors, ensuring vendor partnerships deliver on outcomes, comply with business standards and support operational excellence. Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to ensure effective governance, performance management, and continuous improvement of vendor initiatives. This is a full time, exempt position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in vendor management, sourcing, operations, project management, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Strong communication, relationship management, and stakeholder‑engagement skills Strong organizational, time‑management, and project‑management capabilities
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and business applications
  • Self‑directed, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset

Responsibilities

  • Supports the development and execution of the vendor management strategy.
  • Assists in identifying value opportunities, redundancies, risks, and optimization opportunities.
  • Monitor vendor performance against contracted SLAs and KPIs, maintains documentation of results, and identifies corrective actions where needed.
  • Educate stakeholders on vendor capabilities, contract requirements, performance expectations, and governance processes.
  • Participates in vendor engagement activities from need identification through sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, onboarding, governance, and offboarding.
  • May provide input to contracts including scopes of work, SLAs, KPIs, pricing structures, performance clauses, and governance requirements.
  • Ensure contract terms remain relevant, enforceable, and aligned with business requirements through periodic review.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and research to assist in recommendation of emerging innovations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce costs, enhance service quality, or introduce innovative vendor solutions.
  • Support implementation of vendor management best practices, tools, reporting, and process enhancements.
