About The Position

Primary Purpose: The Center for Educator Success (CES) is designed to transform educator talent pipelines by partnering with districts to reimagine a comprehensive approach to educator recruitment and retention. Reporting to the Officer of Elementary. The Manager of Teacher Advancement will serve as a critical member of CES’s principal and teacher advancement team, responsible for designing and delivering inspired programming.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university, preferred
  • Texas Teacher certification
  • Texas Principal certification
  • Experience coaching teachers and leaders, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CES team to build an impactful and sustainable program model that serves teacher and principal candidates during years 0-3 of service.
  • Collaborate with CES division to execute on all events hosted by the division including professional development, annual events, conferences and related community events.
  • Assist in the planning of programs for student and/or teacher training and professional development for annual events, conferences, and other related community events.
  • Assist in the facilitation and preparation of workshops, conferences, and leadership development.
  • Inititiate, plan, and implement model programs for student and/or teacher training for annual events, conferences, and other related community events
  • Design, develop, implement and provide administrative leadership for annual events, conferences, and other related community events
  • Generate revenue according to annual targets.
  • Assist in planning HCDE’s Speaker Series.
  • Prepare teacher and principal advancement candidates to lead adults through the creation of relevant coursework and test preparation.
  • Serve as a Clinical Supervisor and mentor to support the growth and development of teacher and principal advancement candidates.
  • Design and deliver professional development and coaching to teachers and leaders to support career advancement and impactful leadership.
  • Support individual growth of clients through calibration, coaching, feedback, and data reviews in both pre-service as well as principal and teacher retention programs.
  • Maintain open, clear, and timely communication with all partners.
  • Serve as a collaborative team member open to giving and receiving feedback.
  • Strive to meet all individual and program goals established by the department.
  • Provide regular updates grounded in data on the progress of principal and teacher candidates.
  • Instill a passion for learning in principal and teacher candidates by devoting time to your own professional learning and growth.
  • Willingly offer support to others.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
