About The Position
Large media conglomerate in Arlington, VA has an immediate need for a qualified accountant with a passion for editing, writing and creating Tax content. Candidates should have excellent writing skills and broad experience with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for editing, writing and creating Tax content. With on-site cafeteria and gym with parking available directly under the building. You will lead a team responsible for the analysis of accounting standards and regulations, with an emphasis on the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) Accounting Standards Codification, on our research platform. You and your team will ensure the substantive accuracy and timeliness of content and analysis by monitoring relevant guidance, drafting original analysis, and commissioning outside experts to write more detailed analyses.
Requirements
- Must be fully vaccinated
- Bachelor's degree, plus J.D. or CPA designation required.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Education may be considered in lieu of experience
Nice To Haves
- Tax LL.M. or MST preferred.
Responsibilities
- Leverage domain expertise to oversee the creation of premium research content for tax, accounting, and payroll professionals.
- Lead a team of analysts to ensure research content is timely and accurate.
- Facilitate the professional development of staff.
- Ensure prompt responses to inquiries from customers and the sales team.
- Develop and maintain professional contacts in support of products.
- Contribute to thought leadership through public speaking engagements and written analysis.
- Support marketing efforts related to assigned content set.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
