ATI is seeking to hire a Manager of Product Engineering to support our Specialty Rolled Products business unit. This position will be based at our Washington, PA facility that produces titanium, nickel, and specialty stainless steel plate products. This position will be responsible for leading and developing team of Product Engineers who are accountable for assigned products from initial inquiry through shipment. They will also manage product performance including quality, margin, and flow to improve ATI's competitive advantage and support customer needs. This role will support product development and implementation of new products aligned with commercial strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
• 5 years progressive career experience with project management background.
• 3 years product and/or process development experience in metal industry

• Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers at all levels.
• Ability to develop engineers to enable them to progress in their careers within ATI.
• Organizational, speaking, and writing skills related to training and updating TWI's and control plans.
• Experience in continuous improvement and a proven track record of product and/or process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily technical interactions with internal stakeholders, as well as external customers, ensuring timely responses to commercial and specification inquiries, order reviews, recertification requests and testing and certification of final product supporting shipments and deliver the business forecast.
• Manage the standardized product work instructions, training and verification of training specific to the product line.
• Develop production practices to meet or exceed internal and external customer requirements and represent ATI SRP when managing efficient resolution of external claims.
• Manage customer complaints and deliver efficient resolution to meet ATI SRP expectations.
• Support product certification and compliance issues for all product, process and quality specifications.
• Partner with the Marketing & Sales to evaluate new customer opportunities and develop a cost competitive method to manufacture the material and win the business.
• Identify and develop opportunities for new grades/products or alterations of existing grades to meet new customer business specifications and opportunities.
• Develop and manage technical advancements that deliver product improvements and/or cost reductions.
