Your role will involve determining manufacturing methods, procedures, and tooling requirements, as well as designing tools and planning production sequences in line with continuous improvement, Six Sigma, Lean, and other Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP). Your contributions will support Pfizer's mission to prioritize innovation, creativity, and respect for patients, colleagues, and society. WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE Lead and manage people, technology, and financial resources within the department, ensuring alignment with short-term goals. Actively share knowledge and collaborate within and across departments to foster innovation and continuous improvement. Identify and implement potential improvements in processes or products, taking calculated risks to develop innovative ideas. Solve moderately complex problems within your area of expertise and assist with cross-functional issues, providing technical guidance and oversight. Oversee operational activities, manage multiple projects, and ensure compliance with regulations and GMP through effective execution of unit operations. Manage the performance of direct reports through goal setting, coaching, mentoring, and ongoing assessment, recognizing and addressing development needs. Solicit input, explain complex concepts, and persuade others to adopt a point of view, building alignment across manufacturing assets. Own human performance event investigations as Lead Investigator, making autonomous decisions with minor impact and escalating significant decisions. Form, lead, and facilitate cross-functional teams to execute key processes, ensuring accountability for the production activities of numerous Pfizer products. Assist with short-range and long-range planning, including scheduling operations and staff, and coordinating facilities shutdowns and preventive maintenance.

Requirements

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 3 years of experience; OR a PhD with 0+ years of experience; OR as associate's degree with 8 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience.
  • A robust grasp of industry knowledge and business operations, such as financial basics, enterprise systems like payroll and inventory management
  • Proficiency in administrative, managerial, and technical report writing skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer and presentation capabilities
  • Experience in people leading
  • Knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in Continuous Improvement or Project Management
  • Familiarity with Local Environmental Health and Safety standards
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in motivating and developing team members
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity.
