About The Position
The purpose of this class is to perform technical, business, and administrative duties related to the information technology operations and technical infrastructure support within the Richland County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD). This role involves managing the technical infrastructure (hardware and software), the Disaster Recovery and Prevention Program, maintenance contracts, and FBI CJIS Security Plan compliance. It also oversees the development of technical standards and procedures. The position supervises the RCSD PC/LAN Specialist III and regularly interacts with the RCSD Management Team, Richland County Information Technology Department, various divisions, regions, and their employees, as well as outside consultants and vendors.
