What you will do: We are looking for a MANAGER OF NCQA ACCREDITATION who can help shape our vision and support our mission. Here is what the position will look like. Serves as the tactician responsible for operationalizing NCQA accreditation strategy, determining optimal pathways, sequencing, and resource allocation needed to meet organizational goals. Translates strategic decisions into structured workplans, workflows, crosswalks, and timelines executed by the Senior Accreditation Consultant and cross-functional partners. Designs and refines the operational model for NCQA readiness, including documentation standards, governance structures, meeting cadence, evidence templates, and audit preparation routines. Anticipates operational barriers and proactively develops mitigation strategies to ensure timely, accurate, and complete accreditation execution. Guides team members in the use of structured process improvement and project management approaches, including Lean, Six Sigma, and A3 methodologies. Establishes role clarity and ensures effective division of responsibilities, delegating day-to-day execution while maintaining ownership of tactical direction and overall readiness oversight. Provides tactical leadership for NCQA accreditation work, serving as the primary point of coordination, problem-solving, prioritization, and cross-functional alignment. Oversees development, preparation, and validation of NCQA evidence, including policies, program descriptions, program evaluations, meeting minutes, dashboards, and workplan documentation. Ensures audit readiness across all NCQA standards, including completion of corrective actions, evidence updates, mock audits, and readiness reviews. Partners with Operations, UM, PHM, Provider Network, Compliance, IT/Data, and Care Management to ensure evidence alignment and standard-level compliance. Develops and maintains NCQA tools and resources (e.g., evidence trackers, crosswalks, templates, dashboards) to support accreditation preparation and sustainment. Summarizes accreditation progress, risks, and recommendations for leadership, offering clear tactical guidance. Guides team members in structured process improvement approaches to strengthen accreditation workflows. Promotes NCQA education and accreditation capability-building across the organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in health administration, business or related field required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of seven years' progressive experience in healthcare quality, regulatory compliance, or accreditation required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex accreditation initiatives.
  • Strong working knowledge of NCQA Health Plan Accreditation standards, regulatory frameworks, and evidence preparation.
  • Skilled in project management, tactical execution, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accreditation tracking tools.
  • Demonstrates support for the company's mission, vision and values.
  • Position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) with ability to work with a variety of project management tools.
  • May be required to manage multiple priorities and projects with tight deadlines.
  • A valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance is required for any position involving driving.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience overseeing NCQA accreditation activities is strongly preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience in Medicaid, CHP+, or Exchange populations is advantageous.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification preferred.
  • CPHQ certification preferred.
