About The Position

CCM is looking for a highly driven, results-oriented, Manager of Motor Carrier Sales who is passionate about leading the expansion of our services. Reporting to the Director of Motor Carrier Sales, this position will be responsible for new business development, marketing, and customer excellence management within this industry segment. This role requires strong sales leadership skills, customer excellence, and prior experience within the Intermodal transportation industry. Broad business knowledge and relationship within the intermodal industry, in addition to a sales discipline, is required. The Manager of Motor Carrier Sales will play an integral role, in influencing the future expansion of our company brand and product offering. Manager of Motor Carrier Sales will be responsible for executing the Company's sales strategy, adhering to the annual sales budget and plan; and leading all commercial activities to lay a strong foundation for the Company's long-term competitiveness. In addition, he/she will lead marketing and customer liaison efforts, along with responsibility for the sales lifecycle in negotiations for third-party use of CCM's proprietary MandR and CMS systems.

Requirements

  • Industry-relevant experience 5+ years (Transportation/Intermodal/Logistics) required
  • Ability to drive the full cycle sales process from identifying new business opportunities and creating project and execution plans
  • Experience and understanding of the intermodal industry and how our technology would increase their profitability and improve efficiencies
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience developing and structuring agreements
  • Proven ability to position CCM's products against current tools being utilized
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading a new sales initiative
  • Must possess effective leadership skills including verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to synthesize customers' needs and identify solutions utilizing CCM's products
  • Ability to understand industry-specific terms and trends
  • Excel in a fast-paced sales environment where responsibility for individual performance and a team approach are valued
  • Strong technology background and familiarization with CRM platforms
  • Ability to Travel

Responsibilities

  • Revenue Growth: Own and achieve sales targets by driving lead generation, nurturing prospects, and closing high-value deals.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including Beneficial Cargo Owners and Consolidated Intermodal Technologies (CIT) customers, to drive customer retention and repeat business.
  • Market Expansion: Identify new market opportunities, analyze industry trends, and develop strategies to penetrate new customer segments and geographic regions.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze sales performance metrics, prepare reports, and present insights to senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for major contracts, ensuring favorable terms that balance client needs with company profitability.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings to promote brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Budget Management: Monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective operations.
