About the Program and Foster Parent Recruiter & Licensor Position: Our Palm Beach Treatment Family Foster Care (TFFC) Program provides bundled support to youth in foster care in the South Florida region. Our trauma-informed framework (ARC) includes specialized training for foster parents and a multidisciplinary team that wraps around the youth, family, and permanency resources. This makes a difference because our team approach provides a space for healing while providing skill-building and future-focused planning for youth in our care. We provide support with a multidisciplinary team that includes a Manager, Youth Skills Coach, Foster Parent Recruiter & Licensor, and Clinician. The Foster Parent Recruiter & Licensor engages with the community to promote the need for and generate interest in fostering. They connect with prospective foster parents, answer questions, vet and certify new foster homes. Join us and find loving homes for youth in need. The Manager of Licensing and ICPC for Florida TFFC, under the supervision of the Director of the Florida Programs, will train, supervise, and support licensors for the Palm Beach and Treasure Coach areas/programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required; Master's degree strongly preferred
  • At least 3+ years of licensing foster homes in the state of Florida
  • Certified Child Welfare Licensing Specialist - required
  • Ability to assist new and existing licensing specialists on day-to-day activities as required
  • Flexibility to work when the families are available to meet
  • Experience working in a busy human services office - strongly preferred
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook applications
  • Knowledge of clerical and office procedures
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform duties with minimal supervision and to exercise greater judgement
  • Florida Driver's License - required
  • Ability to travel to other agency locations - required
  • Computer work requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time
  • Time on your feet for up to several hours a day
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Time driving to conduct client and family visits
  • Setting up and breaking down informational tables and materials at recruitment events
  • Regular hours entail 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
  • Must be flexible to meet program needs.

Responsibilities

  • Train, supervise, and support licensors and recruiters during the home certification process
  • Review home studies for any initial and recertifications
  • Support staff and problem-solve any certification concerns
  • Provide supervision to the Foster Home Recruiters and Licensors
  • Complete other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and agency leadership
