This position is located at 4444 Bryant and Stratton Way, Williamsville, NY14221 Manager of Facilities Schedule: Full-Time Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, some weekends and after-hours availability as needed Pay Anticipated pay range for this position: $23.62/hr-$31.49/hr, Non-Exempt Pay will be commensurate with the experience, skills, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position. Job Summary Responsible for general building and grounds maintenance at all ConnectLife locations. Oversee related activities to the daily operation of the department including, but not limited to, supervision of staff, fleet maintenance and compliance, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and all service contracts with ConnectLife.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous supervisory/management experience required.
  • General building and grounds maintenance experience required.
  • Must be computer proficient.
  • Must be adaptable to change, detail oriented, and highly organized with the ability to think critically and multi-task while maintaining focus and accuracy through interruptions.
  • Must be self-motivated and reliable with a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Must have a valid and clean NYS driver’s license and must have reliable transportation. Some travel required.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, and kneeling.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 25lbs. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent reaching forward. Occasional reaching lateral and overhead.
  • Continuous receiving detailed information through written, electronic, and oral communication.
  • Frequent clarity of vision at near and/or far distances.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates organizational needs, manages workflow of staff, and provides guidance and support as needed.
  • Addresses attendance, performance, and behavioral issues, provides counseling, disciplinary action and performance improvement plans as needed with guidance from the human resources department.
  • Oversees day to day operations of Facilities Department including but not limited to: cleaning restrooms, stocking and maintaining necessary supplies and schedule of duties that need to be completed weekly, monthly, quarterly etc., building and grounds maintenance for all ConnectLife Sites.
  • Triage to all Work Order tickets to facilities staff, replacing air/water filters, light bulbs, and ballasts, ceiling tiles and performing a multitude of basic carpentry/electrical/plumbing functions as the job demands, while ensuring a high quality of work done in a timely manner.
  • Determine maintenance schedules for duties needed to be completed on a regular basis. Maintain a system for work orders and be able to prioritize orders.
  • Maintains full knowledge and competency in all pertinent ConnectLife, mobile blood drive assisting, Donor equipment and inventory supply related SOPs. Detects and documents deviations from acceptable practices and SOPs. Maintains thorough legible documentation according to SOPs and regulations.
  • Performs data entry to order supplies as needed. Creates Excel spreadsheets to monitor and track inventory.
  • Participate in development of maintenance/custodial budget as it pertains to inventory.
  • Arranges for service/repair of blood collections equipment with vendor as needed and tracks in-service/out-of-service dates of critical equipment. Maintains the critical equipment database according to SOP’s. Notifies Blood Donor Services supervisory team when equipment is placed out of service and when reinstated.
  • Coordinates and secures purchasing of goods and services for staff, including all service contracts and leases on equipment. Collaborate with department heads and senior management to develop/maintain an effective materials management system. Responsible for timely compliance with all policies and programs.
  • Work with outside vendors to provide services to major mechanicals within the building. Develop a database of contacts to include boiler services, plumbing, electrical, security/door service, rodent/pest control, etc.
  • Supports department as a back-up including but not limited to: shipping and receiving, custodial duties, and vehicle fleet management to ensure timely completion.
