About The Position

The Manager of Enterprise Data Governance is responsible for designing, implementing, and operationalizing the bank’s enterprise‑wide data governance framework. This role ensures that FNB’s data assets are accurate, secure, well‑defined, and compliant with regulatory requirements such as OCC Heightened Standards, FFIEC guidelines, and privacy laws. The Manager will partner across business lines, technology, risk, and compliance to elevate data quality, maturity, stewardship, and accountability across the institution.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the enterprise‑wide data governance framework, policies, standards, and procedures, data ownership models, and governance operation procedures to ensure consistency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with enterprise data strategy and initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver communication, training, and change management to support Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Data Custodians to embed governance culture and adoption across the organization.
  • Lead the enterprise data governance councils or workgroups, driving alignment between Business, Technology, and Compliance stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Business, Operations and Technology stakeholders to identify and prioritize critical data assets and critical data elements.
  • Partner with the manager of Enterprise Data Quality to ensure alignment between data quality practices, and define best practices (delivery platforms, dashboards) to communicate measurement and monitoring.
  • Define and Maintain data stewardship structures, assuring business and technical stewards are consistently assigned for the critical data elements; driving structured processes for identifying, escalating, resolving, and preventing data issues enterprise‑wide.
  • Oversee the process for establishing business metadata management, lineage documentation, glossary accuracy, and version control across platforms.
  • Set enterprise guardrail and expectations for data lifecycle management including creation, modification, sharing retention, and archival.
  • Oversee compliance related to privacy, retention, access, usage, classification and regulatory requirements.
  • Integrate AI and advanced analytics governance requirements, including oversight for AI‑related data use and acceptable‑use governance.
  • Coordinate governance involvement in AI and other prioritized data related initiatives, ensuring projects follow governance standards and include the right stewards and SMES.
  • Collaborates with risk partners to ensure data governance program is integrated with the risk frameworks of the bank.
  • Monitor and report governance KPIs and maturity, focusing on adoption and engagement, domain readiness, and metadata completion.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
