Job Summary Under the general supervision of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging, responsible for the management of patient care, day-to-day operations and department personnel. As a member of the Diagnostic Imaging management team, assists in the development of department goals, objectives and standards, budget development, preparation and control, quality assurance and department education. Coordinates department activities to include regulatory requirements, equipment quality control/maintenance, and performance improvement. Responsible for hiring, supervising and evaluating team members. Serves as an effective liaison between Diagnostic Imaging staff, leaders, and other department leaders and medical staff. This role is 100% management/operational oversight.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technologist school or equivalent in related HealthCare field
  • Minimum three (3) years clinical experience
  • Current certification or registration in a Diagnostic Imaging Modality and Current State of Connecticut Radiologic Technologist Licensure
  • Experience with PACS and digital technology
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and project management
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude.
  • Intermediate computer skills for use with email, Word and Excel.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of Radiological principal and practices. Sufficient to be able to perform a wide range of duties relative to the work assigned.
  • Ability to lead and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Ability to handle different patient population including difficult patients.
