About The Position

We are currently seeking a Manager of Setup for the Financial Contract Reporting Administration (FCRA)’s Deal Management department. This team manages talent information for all Warner Bros. film, television, games and new media libraries. As part of a fast-paced organization, the role offers a unique opportunity to learn about the company’s operations, from production to film release and distribution. The Manager of Setup will review new deal setups across Theatrical, Television, Home Entertainment, and Games, oversee contract and system template maintenance, and guide staff on best practices to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Additionally, this individual will serve as a liaison between departmental groups, resolving setup issues related to data cleanups and system enhancements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years work experience in a finance, legal, accounting, auditing, or IT environment.
  • Participations and/or entertainment industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior management experience preferred.
  • Prior experience with workflow tracking software (e.g., JIRA, Monday.com) a plus.
  • Experience with automated participations reporting system strongly preferred.
  • Experience with system implementations and testing preferred.
  • 2-4 years managing people in a fast paced, results driven, team oriented environment is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, legal, accounting, information systems, or related field.
  • Expertise with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with effectively managing staff across different time zones and geographic regions.
  • Solution oriented individual who can work in a dynamic, fast paced, high volume environment and think outside of the box.
  • Ability to read and understand digests and abstracts of legal agreements.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills required.
  • Outstanding time and workflow management skills to handle multiple and changing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators related to deal setup accuracy, timeliness, and workload throughput.
  • Ability to interface and interact with all levels of personnel and management.
  • Ability to partner with Internal Audit and Finance leadership to support audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Must be able to maintain confidential information.
  • Must be flexible to changing priorities.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, meet tight deadlines under fast paced environment, and work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to adapt and learn new systems quickly.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, as business needs require.
  • Ability to work on-site in the office on days required by the business.
  • Support change management initiatives related to system upgrades, process improvements, and organizational transformations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and approve new participations deal setups and deal setup changes to ensure compliance, accuracy, consistency, and quality of presentation.
  • Identify Deal Setup and system template deficiencies, assess business and reporting impact, develop actionable remediation plans, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Troubleshoot deal setup and system-related issues, partnering closely with Technology and Participations Reporting teams through issue resolution and completion.
  • Manage multiple workstreams including, but not limited to, new deal setups across all business groups, system template maintenance, deal setup change requests, on-request statements, and system enhancements with robust user testing.
  • Collaborate with management to establish priorities, timelines, and completion targets to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Develop new training materials and update, consolidate, and maintain existing documentation.
  • Train and develop staff, coordinate workflow and assignments, monitor capacity and progress, and report status to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Host training sessions within the group and across the broader division, as needed.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of appropriate internal controls, including SOX requirements.
  • Support the development of business standards, scalable solutions, and best practices related to statement and deal setup processes.
  • Perform or review ad hoc analyses and special projects as required to support business, operational, or strategic initiatives.
