About The Position

We have an exciting career opportunity for a Manager of Day Services who will oversee the day-to-day operations and clinical aspects of assigned Eden Day Programs, and maintain fluid communication with parents, staff, and regulatory agencies, as well as provide supervision and training to Center Supervisors, Assistant Center Supervisor, Lead Direct Support Professional, Community Job Coaches (CJCs) and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). The highly talented individual must demonstrate a passionate commitment to Eden’s mission and the desire to deliver in a high-value and mission-driven organization. Hours are 8:00 am – 4:00 pm with flexibility based on Program needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience working with developmentally disabled individuals.
  • 3+ years’ supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with record in good standing.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, squat, kneel, stretch, stoop, and/or reach above shoulder level for extended periods of time (up to 30 minutes).
  • Vision requirements to include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to pass and maintain Professional Crisis Management (PCM) certification at a P2 level on an annual basis, including implementation of all strategies and techniques.
  • Ability to move or be moved freely and quickly to ensure the safety of students/participants at all times.
  • Ability to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of applied behavioral analysis.
  • Commitment to helping individuals with autism and their families.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure organizational compliance with contractual and regulatory bodies.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality by adhering to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills with the ability to make recommendations for an effective and efficient resolution.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as presentation skills.

  • Willingness to travel locally (10-20%).

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Supervision Coach/mentor, train and develop staff; provide feedback on regular basis.
  • Conduct Teacher Quality Assessments (TQAs) and annual performance evaluations.
  • Partner with Human Resources in the hiring and on-boarding process to include scheduling and conducting interviews, hiring, scheduling training and orientation, and completion of new hire paper work.
  • Review and/or conduct staff disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee daily operation of assigned centers/programs, ensuring that all documentation and sites are in compliance for evaluations, accreditations and licensing.
  • Schedule and conduct agency tours and other community outreach events as assigned.
  • Review monthly program budgets.
  • Oversee compliance and assist with investigations and inspections as set forth in the Standards for Day Programs for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
  • Conduct scheduled facility reviews of all assigned sites.
  • Serve as a resource in seeking staff coverage for assigned programs.
  • Oversee, monitor, and ensure accurate and timely completion of weekly timesheets.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of all behavior support plans and Individual Plans for assigned participants; ensure information is entered into Therap.
  • Complete monthly pre-consult notes for psychologist.
  • Participate in annual review of behavior support plans.
  • Complete participants’ assessments as assigned.
  • Assist in participant intake and transition into day program
  • Identify individuals for movement into the employment program
  • Assist in implementation of Person Centered Planning evaluation for day program participants.
  • Assist in program development/enhancement projects for day program
  • Schedule and conduct weekly individual meetings with assigned supervisors.
  • Conduct monthly Supervisor meetings.
  • Attend Chief Program Officer meetings with Director and other Managers.
  • Attend residence staff meetings as needed or as directed.
  • Maintain responsive, proactive, and professional communication with parents/guardians.
  • Notify Director immediately of any situation which compromises the safe and effective operation of Day Services.
  • Cooperate with Eden Autism Services and Division of Developmental Disabilities staff in any inspection or investigation.
  • Attend DDD meetings as needed.
