About The Position

The Manager of Crew Planning is responsible for the development, distribution and awarding of monthly schedules for all flight crewmembers. Position will create monthly crew pairings and bid lines as provided by FAA regulations, crew work rules, and company policies. Will oversee a Crew Planner staff and be responsible for the ongoing analysis and optimization of crew resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Aviation, preferably in Crew Planning.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software, with a focus on Excel.
  • Ability to be analytical in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English.
  • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CrewTrac.
  • Experience with PBS Software (IBS or NavBlue).
  • Experience with Optimization software.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for modeling/projecting Crew headcount requirements based on the airlines flight schedule including training and attrition modeling.
  • Works closely with schedule analysis and provides feedback into the schedule planning to ensure efficient flight scheduling.
  • Reports on changes to regulatory/company work rules and the effect on required head count.
  • Builds crew pairings monthly that comply with the Federal Aviation Regulations, CBA, and company work rules used in the monthly pairing process.
  • Manages time effectively to meet deadlines for multiple projects.
  • Responsible for monthly bidding (either line building and/or PBS) and month end resolution.
  • Interacts with other corporate departments when working on monthly schedules.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department and company.
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
