About The Position

The Regional Controls Specialist will assist and train commercial contractors with Carrier i-Vu controls. This position will be expected to draw up submittals, assist in controls start-up, support and trouble shoot i-Vu controls system when called upon by our clients.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline(preferred).
• 3-5 years of HVAC experience; distribution experience preferred.
• Experience selling and supporting HVAC Controls products.
• Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision and achieve all goals as stated.
• Must possess the ability to explain technical information to technical & non-technical people.
• Must have demonstrated experience in the understanding of computer programs and software applications as related to the HVAC Industry.
• Experience working in a high-performance, cross-functional team environment.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task within a diverse work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide a primary resource for our customers to answer controls questions.
• Assist in operating the existing Certified Controls Expert Contractor Programs.
• Maintain Technician Certification documentation and establish training & testing requirements.
• Assist in conducting training classes for the sales & installation of Carrier controls systems for dealers.
• Attract elite contractor memberships in the Factory Controls Authorization Program.
• Supports roll out new controls products to the Controls Expert dealers.
• Grow the Carrier Commercial Controls presence in the region.
• Manage the interface between the factory and our customers.
• Travel throughout the region to provide support to Carrier controls dealers.
